mow lawns, baby sit, rake leaves, trim shrubs, do general household chores, clean basements, clean eaves, walk dogs, wash cars, paint a fence, shovel snow... The trick is to appear neat and clean, and work hard so that people will remember you, ask you back, and recommend you to other neighbors. If your work is excellent and your prices are reasonable, you'll get repeat business.
And remember - repeat business is what you want. You don't have to go through the hassle of selling your services, knocking on doors, etc. If you mow, do straight, even passes without leaving strips of tall grass. If you babysit, do the dishes as well. If you walk the dog, bring a few treats, or brush the animal as well.
I've hired neighborhood kids to mow my lawn before. One in particular did a lousy job. He rushed through it, left lots of strips of tall grass, and wanted top dollar for it. He was insulted when I wouldn't pay him until he went back and finished the job. He did it, though, but he didn't mow for me again. Do a good job, and you have a much better chance of coming back.

walking dogs, pet sitting, mowing lawns, paper route, help your neighbors with gardening, help them with simple chores, raking leaves from lawns and sidewalks, shoveling snow, picking up garbage from streets, collect recycle-able cans/bottles, car washing. Hope this will help.

You can help mowing the lawn, or taking out snow from driveways or sideways. help around the yard would be your best option. Good luck!

wash car windows, house windows, pick up dog poo (there is always lots of dog poo), offer to wash their pets, yard work, clean pool, go to people's house offering to wash their car, thats a pretty good list of things.
