you decide which is more to each... really id spend xmas with family n new yr with mates... you can always go to family early on the nite then leave 8 or 9 to go out with friends but make sure you call at 12 oclock x

When I was younger I used to spend it with friends but as you get older you spend it with family.

definitely friends. christmas is the time one is sort of obliged to spend time with family, even if it's dead boring. new year is recognised more of being a social celebration. It depends on your family situation however and what you feel right to do and happy to do.
