I had a girl first and then a boy.. I was told the i see three lines and never could understand then what they were talking about.. until i got pregnant this time and you can clearly see that it is a boy.. i can understand now what they meant by three lines...you can clearly see a "turtle" that is what they say when they can see the boy parts because it looke just like a turtle.. i guess that they could not see anything like that for you...

They told me a boy @ 21 weeks and I had a boy... the farther along you are in your pregnancy the more accurate the results will be with the ultra sound...plus the position of the baby helps.
Congratulations!!! The ultrasounds are pretty accurate and the newer 3-D ones are even better!!!!

I was told I was having a girl and they were right. I was 25 weeks pregnant. The timing has to do a lot with the results. The further along you are in your pregnancy the better. I don't think they were wrong, but wait a bit more for your next ultrasound and they'll be more accurate.

My first child was a boy, I had one ultrasound at about 20 weeks and it was pretty obvious LOL
My second baby was a girl and we had 4 ultrasounds total, at 19 weeks, about 28 weeks, 32 weeks and 36 weeks. All of them told us the same thing, they were all sure it was girl...good thing too or that little boy would have been wearing a LOT of pink LOL :)

You can never be sure. My bestfriend just had her baby and at her 5 month check up she was told they were having a girl. Well 2 months later they did another ultrasound and all of a sudden they were not sure. She ended up having a girl but after they told her that she bought things that would work for either sex to be safe. It is much harder to determine the sex of a female baby than a male. Congratulations nonetheless!!!

Someone I know had 3 ultrasounds and every time was told that the baby was a girl. Last month she gave birth to a healthy baby boy. You just never know.

I had a girl and REALLY REALLY wanted a boy. Every ultrasound they told me it was a girl, and I kept refusing to accept that, surely its thingy would eventually show its ugly head (no pun intented) or something by the time it was born. Believe me, if they say its a girl, its a girl. When you see the ultrasound between a boy and a girl, there is NO mistaking them. I compared mine with my sister's boy ultrasound pics and its pretty cut and dry. You're having a girl.

My first baby was a girl, I was told by 3 different techs that it was. Again I was told by 3 different with this pregnancy, I think most of the time they are sure. We'll see when I have the baby.

They are pretty accurate but i have known of 2 different people who were told one sex but had another. A friend of mine was told she was having a boy and then it was a girl. And just 5 minutes ago another friend of mine just called and said she is having a girl. And they told her last month it was a boy.
However do know that stuff like this is very rare and they are usually pretty good at knowning what you are having by the ultrasound.
Good luck and congrats.

Mine before was absolutely clear that I have a baby boy in fact I've seen and guess it first before my midwife told me that it's a boy, but I have some friends, that their scan has not been acurate due to the position of the baby where they are not quite sure. Anyway just wait until your baby comes out, that would be a lovely surprise. Best of luck and Congratulations!
