One of my past English teachers once said when you start out is good to send out you poetry to as many places so that your name will be out there.

I have some places but I would like to know where else I can send my poerty to.

Before I send any out what can I do to make sure that all legal rights are mine and that they all get copyrights?

Get a copy of the Writers' Market 2007. It lists everything you need to know. If you can't afford to buy it, you can find a copy in your local public library's reference section. The 2007 may not be available for check-out, but the 2006 edition probably will be.

Also, check and see if there are writers' groups in your area, or a state writers' group. There is a lot of wisdom out there - not to mention a lot of contacts. Be sure you find a group that is supportive, not critical. It may take a little searching, but it will be worth it.
