I tell my husband about the cartoon and he thinks I might possibly be insane. Anywho it was about a plain girl who has magic earrings, and when they light up she becomes a rockstar. and her friends are her band. it was great. Please let him know I am NOT making this up!

I always wanted a Jem doll, but my parents thought Barbie was a better influence... lol!!!

I was to old for it in the 80's as I was born in the 60's but I do remember it. So tell your husband you are crazy. P.S. it is Jem not Gem

remember those books where the paint was already there and you just used a wet q-tip to color...? yeah, i had a jem one! i also remember having some other sort of jem arts and crafts thing, but it's a little foggy on just what it was - it involved yarn.
and the bad chick's band was the misfits!

I remember and she had a boyfriend with blue hair named Rio and she'd get all emotional as Jerrica and do this little breathy sigh and say "Ohhh Rio, if only I could reveal who I really am" she was the new generation. It was on USA back in the day, no?

I remeber Jem! It was my FAVORITE CARTOONN!!!!!! I had the barbie dolls of all the characters, even had my own pair of red star earings. You can rent the DVD of the show from Netflix.com.
Jem is exitement!

I was a toddler then so I was more of a Fraggle Rocker- but now looking back I can say that Jem was pretty cool!

If he needs to watch one episode I think my cousin still actually has a vsh tape. I remember that show your not crazy. Jemunlimited.com show him this sight it might help him understand what your talking about.
