'Significance' is a tricky one; it could be very specific

(such as the usefulness of hypothermia (which can be lethal) in saving the life of people who would have drowned, but survived being submerged for up to AN HOUR because the water was freezing cold)

or it could be very general

(such as the 'wasteful' production of heat by active muscle tissue that happens to speed up energy reactions (in symbiotic bacteria called mitochondria), so that the muscles can function more effectively)

or it could be paradoxical

(for example, we need a big thumping pump to push the blood all the way from the chest, most of the way DOWN the body to the feet, BUT it makes its way all the way back UP the body by 'passive' means ('venous return' operates by means of pressure randomly applied to veins by the skeletal muscles moving beneath them, so that the blood is forced through simple one-way valves in the veins) !

There are many more examples of separate systems interacting in the body, the most obvious being 'Mind and Body' (eg your brain makes hunger when your vitals need vittles, and etc), but the question of 'significance is mostly a matter of individual judgement, focus, and priorities.

The systems in the body functioning and having an inter - relationship is very significant, as it keeps the human boyd functioning.
The respiratory system respires to inhale oxygen so the blood pumped by the circulatory system can by oxygenated. This blood travels through arteries (ciruclatory system) and feeds the cells of different tissues of different organs. Now the cells can live, hence the organs can function..The brain cells are feeded so it can command the other systems to work. The organs of the digestive system can digest food (creating ATP energy out of food, glucose) so the body can work. The muscles can have your body move. Any existing internal wastes the uninary system can excrete through sweat or urine now that it can function
Overall: The body needs to have energy, food, and needs to excrete any bodily waste to keep it healthy. This is achieved through the inter - relationships between all systems in the body so the body can survive.
