I am hoping to be able to drive it to the dealer for it to get fixed without having to get it towed.

Background: I got in an accident on 10/7. Front driver side near tire. Got hit pretty hard. The cosmetics were covered by the insurance company, but 2 days after getting my car back from the insurance company the check engine light flips on (blinking yellow), and the engine is now sputtering (not accelerating well, kind of shifty).

The "blinking" Check Engine Light is telling you
1) The engine is misfiring ("Blinking")
2) There is a fault in the engine management system that is likely to cause an unacceptable rise in emissions. If the light is flashing "(blinking") there is a misfire significant enough to cause damage to the catalytic converter.
If the dealer isn't far, you might be able to get it there. If the light begins to flash again, understand you may be causing damage.

Good Luck

Is it a catalysed car ? If so...
Check the Lamda sensor for gas-air mixture. Might been damaged or in need of a good cleansing of dust, unproper fuel or
natural waisting.-

I would call the dealer and ask them what they think, if it's related to the accident your insurance should cover the towing.
