Hey, LOTR fanatics!!!! I LOVE Aragorn, and think that Lego is a cool guy, but not BF material for me. Orlando Bloom is TOTALLY cute, but I don't get everyone's attraction to Legolas. I want a SUPER-DETAILED explanation on that, please!!!

I think that both Legolas and Aragon are extremely attractive, each for two different reasons.
Legolas is the type of man YOU would seduce and Aragon the type of man who whould seduce you.
Both perfect, depending on the kind of mood you're in. Don't try to explain it, accept it and love them both..

Well, personally I'm with you. Viggo Mortensen's Aragorn is hot. I think the appeal in Orlando Bloom's Character Legolas is that he's sort of alien and ethreal there is a quiet beauty about the elves. There's a mystery in them. I mean wouldn't you totally want to be an elf. We all know what it's like to be human after all.

As far as us Lord Of The Ring geeky fans go, I think the attraction to his character is that he has amazing skills with his Bow and is a very fast and agile fighter. He also has the ability to track the Orcs( the bad guys) he has superior eyesight. There have been several portrayals of Elves in movies , but not one who is a killing machine and a friendly guy at the same time. I feel like a total dork answering this, but I did my best. A question back to you , what is Orlando Blooms deal with always playing some swordsman from ancient time? Besides LOTR , he did Troy an Kingdom of Heaven , which were similar in so many ways. I think they have used the same movie sets to make both films.

Okay, first, Orlando Bloom is a cutie, no doubt... but I personally find him more attractive as a blue-eyed blond. No idea why. In "real life" I typically am NOT attracted to blond men.
Secondly, there's the characterization. I haven't seen too many other Bloom movies, but he seems to be used as the meterosexual type, very sensitive and so on... even in Pirates of the Caribbean, I could just never buy him as a blacksmith because he's just not built for it. Historically, blacksmiths all ended up looking like Arnold Schwarz or a WWE wrestler or pro football player or something because the sheer physical demands of the work totally bulked them up. His way of playing that character is just too refined and sleek and smooth...
Third, the "meterosexualness" of Bloom as Legolas worked better. Because elves are SUPPOSED to be refined and sleek and smooth. Almost androgynous. His metero-ness in LOTR comes off as strong-but-silent-ness because of the way the director worked it.
Fourth, I just LOVE long hair on a man. And that herringbone braid! ;-)

Legolas is so fantastical cool. He can see for miles and his skill with a bow is unmatchable. You would always know that he would protect you. Also in the return of the king he takes down a huge Oliphaunt which is so cool. Also he has a cute smile that makes you smile. He is always curious and legolas doesn't speak alot, he prefers to let his actions speak for him. Legolas moves are smooth and elegant, like a cat. He also never got any scratches and never got any dirt on him. He is so kind as well to Aragorn and the rest of the fellowship and he would protect them with his life.

I think it's because he has such a smoothe complexion, he has great bone structure, he moves in such an elegant and graceful way, and his eyes are amazing (although I know that Orlando Bloom's eyes are not actually blue). That's why I find him attractive. But I do also find Aragorn attractive, in a different way. Legolas is pretty and graceful and very regal, but Aragorn is very manly and ruggedly handsome and real.

Hey! I think that it's because he's more boyish looking, whereas Viggo Mortensen is all man! I think the young girls favor Orlando, and therefore Legolas, because he's non-threatening and almost androgynous, which I think is something that young teenage girls like in a heartthrob. Think back to David Cassidy back in the day. He basically almost looked like a girl, with his fine features and long, wispy hair. I think younger girls like to think about a guy who doesn't look too much like a man, with chest hair and stubble and everything, because they still think of those kinds of guys as way to old for themselves. Anyway, that's my theory- personally, I think Legolas looks like a bizarre combination of Axl Rose and the Keebler Elf!!!

The reason why I find Legolas attractive is because of his abilities as a fighter, his broad eye-sight and hearing, and let's just face it his eyes are drop dead gorgeous.
I find Aragorn VERY attractive as well.
I love them both.

I think Orlando isn't as cute when he is legolas. But he is kind of cute.
