I dropped out for a combination of reasons. The biggest reason was money. For me personally, it wasn't the best decision. I just enrolled back at the same University I dropped out of. I found that even though my degree would not have directly applied to the lines of work that I was looking at, a lot of employers still want a degree. Their reasoning is that they want to see that you have it together enough to complete a degree.

I dropped out after my freshman year. I regretted it everyday after that. 10 years later I am a college graduate and I am working on my Masters degree. The one thing that really messed me up by dropping out was that now I am a little bit too old to be starting in my first "career." I am competing against the fresh and young.....it is very difficult.

College is not for everyone, you have to look at what you want to do with your life and the best way to accomplish that goal. Your family can't tell you how to do it.

Ultimately, you will have to be able to take care of you in the future. How will you do that?

I dropped out after a 1 and a half, I was about 20,21. Now that I'm older regret it. 1st of all no one can ever take your education away from you. Also if I had my degree I would be making about an extra 25k+ a year. I going back to school now but its harder now(kids, husband, work). I think you should stay in school.
