Music is good for the soul (Inner person), but too much of a good thing is not. If you could listen to the music while doing something constructive that would be OK, but just to sit an listen would be bad for everything about a person's physical well being.

Yeah. As long as it wasn't muzak, jazz, country or death metal! I could live with just about any other type of music (alternative, rock, pop, dance, techno, rap, hip hop, classical, ambient etc)! My life pretty much has a running soundtrack anyway (radio usually on at work & in the car, stereo at home or movies and playing my own songs on guitar). Couldn't live without music!

I would love it! Music frees my soul. Music releases tension and induces positive thoughts and feelings. Music does that for me. Music makes memories of certain times in my life, people, situations and events, come alive for me when i hear a certain song or tune. There must be music in heaven! Music feeds the soul.

We pretty much do live lives where we have to hear music. Anytime you go out in public there is music playing somewhere, some good, some not so good.

I don't see it much as a requirement, more like a choice, I choose to have a soundtrack playing in my head.

after 5 years running around with bands, and after 3 years of studying in an art school...
um, no...
it's really annoying to listen to my classmates practicing their classical peices every day. and when you go to anohter room... its also annoying to listen to rock bands recording and tunning their guitars. oh, and if i see another instrument carried by a neandertal... nevermind.

producing music is even more fun. but if i couldn't produce music then i would. it's the next closest thing.
