All of them do not. However, working in HR for a company I can say that a lot of companies out there want someone new, fresh. Someone they can teach from the beginning. If you have a person that has been in the same type of work for years then they have their own habits. Habits are hard to break. A company wants to teach you their way not have you come in and do it the way you did at the previous job.
Skills and experience is good and would get you hired but someone knew that has the ambition to do great will also get hired.

Did it ever occure to you, that you may be over qualified for some of the jobs you have applied for? I work in HR and some people have a BA or BS and we tend not to hire them for entry level postions. The question "Why do people with no qualifications always get the good jobs?" says something about your personallity. How do you know they have no qualification, how do you know it's a good job? Apply and interview for a job with confidence, but let the person interviewing control the interview. That way your not giving too much or too little. Most of all, don't worry about other people, let them have the "good job's". Apply for jobs you think you may be a little underqualified for and see what happens. T

Qualifications aren't everything. Some people can prove they are good at a job without having a recognised qualification. Other people can be highly qualified but are completely useless in the big bad world.

They are probably easier to work with than people who feel they deserve the job just because they have the qualifications. Just because you have a specific education, or paperwork saying you have that education, doesn't mean you will do a good job at anything. Usually, someone who hires and fires has a good knowledge at interview time whether that person will mesh with other employees, whether or not they are qualified or not.

I find it to be the opposite- its nearly impossible to get a job without background and experience. I have a great educational background but I havent worked much ever before and I get passed over so quickly. So much for the great value of an education. Its stupid because wouldnt the ability to learn to do a job and probably better because you are smarter be more valuable than someone whos been hopping from job to job?

Because this was meant to make you feel useless and to taunt you because you are better qualified and everyone hiring just wants to make you feel useless so they will feel more important? To prove that your expensive education is worthless? Because they outsource? Because there are no good jobs? Because qualification is not necessary for good jobs? Because people that hire are evil? Because George Bush Jr. put the order out for everyone to follow his lead?

They don't. A lot of employers today are seeking qualifications, so if you know of these people who got good jobs, then they lied.

they don't all, but drive and ambition can go a long way to getting on in life - some of the world's most successful people have no qualifications whatsoever.

I discussed this with an old boss of mine. I had asked him to hire a woman to do book keeping for the company. Who was already familiar with everything we did. he would not b/c if he hired somebody who did not know much about it he would not have to pay them as much and he could train that person the way he wanted. Really it's cost efficient and that's it.
