Wow it's nice to see so many of you remember him! Yes it was touchwood and Geoffrey Bayldon played him and yes he did live in a water tower! Excellent I'm so glad he's remembered so fondly

Oh yes I do! I loved this! although it was a bit scary too! I was probably about 9 or 10 (early 70's?) The toad was called Touchwood I think. Does that ring a bell with you? Im going to look into this - who was the actor who played him?

This question brought back a lot of good memories and gave my family and friends a lot of laughs thinking and talking about past programmes thank you. Oh and the toads name I hadn't a clue either until I read some of your answers.

Ahhhhhhh I used to Love that programme. His Toad was called 'Touchwood'. I wish they would show it again for the kids now. So funny. Thanks for the memory.
