When trying to concieve? Besides ovulation tests and having sex about 3 times a week, is there anything else to do that could make it more for sure that pregnancy would happen?

Get hubby to the Doctors and get a Vitamin B-12 shot!!

We tried all the pills and everything under the sun, and it just happened that I took a B-12 shot and she was pregnant quick!

Also, quit trying three times a week!!! He needs to build up the sperm count, and your draining them ... Once every 4 days or once a week, to make sure they are stored up...(you need 50 million of them little buggers to start a chemical reaction in order to get the egg to get fertilized...even though, one does it, its part of the process).

I told a few other people and they got pregnant this way too!

Forget the 600 buck clomids and all the other fertility pills... a shot of B-12, how ever much it cost now... Should do the trick!

I wish you well..

Jesse

Have fun. Don't be too stressed out about it. Testing for ovulation helps but when it "Hurry honey and stick it in! I'm ovulating so we need to do it now!" tends to take the enjoyment out of it. It just adds to the stress of the man and woman. Plus, you'll find after awhile the man will stop looking forward to it and see it more as a chore.

When your body is relaxed it opens up and it increases your chances of pregnancy.

Have both of you been tested? If you're having difficulties that may be something to look at. Talk to your doctor, they'll be able to give you the best advice.

It isn't just about having sex three times a week or three times per day for that matter, it is about having sex when you're fertile or ovulating. There are alos other things to take into consideration such as lifestyle, diet and presence or lack of fertility complications. Relaxing and not think about having a baby. It took me 3 or 4 months but i read up on when were the higher chances and things to do like u say about ovulation. But just relax and have fun.. when having SEX becomes a job thats when the problems start. I think im finally pregnant.... :)

Avoid coffee and lots of caffeine but have you hubby drink some. Have him wear boxers as well. Try different positions that tilt the pelvic in a better direction. After trying, lay on your back with a small pillow behind your lower back (this tilts the pelvic region and helps "push along" the little guys). Any little boost helps. Check out other fertility techniques ( I like www.ivillage.com ). Best of luck!

Nothing is for sure, and I had problems with becoming pregnant....it seems a "gazillion years ago", and went to a fertility specialist, and I had internal problems...he operated...and I was pregnant 17 days later!

Check that you have a healthy diet...and don't drink alcohol while you are trying to conceive.....sorry, but alcohol can damage the baby in all stages of pregnancy.

I am in the same situation. I have been trying to conceive for 5 months now and we have been having sex every other day starting from day 10 and going until day 21...I don't know what else to do but I am starting to get discouraged. I guess when the time is right it will happen. If you have any tips, please let me know!!
Good luck to you.
