Because we as a nation are ok with you being wild and crazy against our enemies but not amoungst us.

Come to Canada - the legal age for everything is 18 here! Ive never understood the signs when Im in the states, like you can be 18 to smoke, vote, buy guns etc but you cant drink? Maybe there are more problems in colleges and stuff with drinking there?

That is a an old question, has been floating around for some time. 18 y/o can vote, sit on juries but not buy booze. Does not seem right. Maybe the question from now on is should the law be changed? And how?

Because if you're sent to war you volunteered for it. There is a draft so you have a choice. Besides most 18 year olds aren't responsible enough to handle drinking.

This has never made sense to me. If you're old enough to fight for your country you should be old enough to drink a beer!

Because that's how the law is written.

Now if you meant to ask if that law is fair, that might be more interesting.
