How did some bastard steal my car with a screw driver??? What are the grooves on the key for if you can just put a screw driver into the ignition???someone tell me how this is possible, and why they dont tell you these things?????????

they take a screwdriver and break the key tumblers. every one knows this?

Sorry you lost your car.
BUT---The whole point of a key is only to keep the honest HONEST!
If it were universally known that you could use a screwdriver, then even the STOOPID (stupid) crooks would be educated enough to steal any car.
The real problem is that there is no PROSECUTION of these criminals, because we have MORE IMPORTANT fish to fry. There is no penalty for it. It doesn't matter how inconvenienced WE are, the districts attorneys don't impose serious sanctions, unlike the days of old, when you were convicted of stealing a horse, you could be hanged. It was a serious offense, as the victim could easily be physically jeopardized without his transportation.
You are going to have to find a way to keep your car bu means beyond the key.
Security Alarm?
Ignition Dis-abler?
Let your PIT BULL with AIDS sleep in the car?

Yeah they used to break the left side of the steering columns out to steal the GM cars, (I drive mopars so no-one wants to steal those), but they now have a quicker way to crack the column.PUNKS!!!
