It's because I don't look pregnant. The doc says everything is fine, and I'm gaining the right amount of weight and my uterus measured right at my last appt. But I have a small belly. I even feel like I could go for a run and it wouldn't even get in the way. There's no position that's uncomfortable either, and when I lay down my tummy kinda goes away. I feel like I look more like a college girl with a beer belly than a 27 yr old pregnant woman. This is my first and I'm hoping it's only this way because my torso's kinda long? He is moving in there like crazy, but if he were getting big and gaining weight shouldn't my belly be sticking out more??? Trying not to complain about it, but I want the experience of being pregnant! Thanks!!!

consider yourself lucky. a lot of women out there experience the pregnancy from very early on. just wait until you are about 40 weeks and you wake up one morning and cant even sit up!
i wouldnt worry about the "experience" of being pregnant passing you by. you are experiencing it right now. you said he's moving around in there like crazy- that's the most important part of the experience! to feel the little life moving around inside of you, to know that your baby is doing fine.
if the doc says everything is okay, just enjoy!good luck!

He's still got a few weeks to grow and I'm sure you know the most growth comes at the end of the term. Since you have a long torso, it probably helps mask the tummy. Also, you only gain about 6.5 - 9 lbs from your baby. A lot of the other weight is fluid, excess blood (you're pumping about 50% more than regular), placenta and amniotic fluids. If your doctor says everything is fine, I would believe him/her. Best of luck!

LOL Well sounds like you are getting the good end of the deal on the pregnancy thing hun! Just enjoy it, cause even though you have only 9 more weeks, it is very likely that you will start to feel the discomfort that the rest of us women get to go through. I am only 12 weeks at the moment (4th pregnancy), but I am already uncomfortable, so just enjoy it. I am not 100% positive, but I do believe that it does have alot to do with your body shape as well.

People were surprised when my mom had me, they didn't even know she was pregnant! She just looked like she had gained a little weight. With your long torso, and maybe you are carrying more around your sides than out front, sounds like everything is okay, if the doctor says that everything looks good, then everything must be good. =)

Girl you are lucky, and what does it matter what you look like or don't look like in your case. You are feeling the movement and bonding with your baby. That's what you need to stay focused on and just enjoy this time. I would love to be in your shoes with my nest child.

Awww if I could show you me with my first, it was the same way. I told my mom I was showing and she said WHERE?!
Don't lie on your back though, try to stay on your left side. And drink lots of water. And I don't think running is bad :D
