I don't think so. They got incredible pitching in the postseason, but I don't know if they can win their division again next year. Given the fact that the NL Central is so weak, they may have a good chance. But outside of that, I don't think so. The Mets were unlucky, but they should repeat in the NL East. The Padres or Dodgers will not make it out of the West. Expext San Francisco to take the NL West, especially if Barry Bonds decides to go to another team. The wil card will be up for grabs by a bunch of team, namely Philly. But it's too early to tell. We need to see what moves other teams will make, and who knows, it could be another surprise.

i appreciate those type of human beings saying the Cardinals are a a million hit ask your self.they have had between the suitable communities for 5-6 years now and were given rewarded for all there exertions over those years by technique of triumphing the WS in 06.The established has been ours for particularly a even as,and that i see yet another NL established flag flying at Busch this year.exertions will pay off because it did for The Birds on the Bat in 06. As for repeat as WS Champs it would want to take position, i'm waiting for the season to commence and shall we see what takes position

Although the odds are against them, odds doesn't tell us much since the odds were definetely against them for the playoffs. They'll have an amazing bullpen, decent pitching and if Yadier Molina can find his bat during the reg. season, they'll be up w/ the best of them. Plus, the moves LaRussa made toward the end of the season brought a regular second baseman, and outfielder. Plus, if Chris Duncan can work on his defense, he'll be a hell of a power hitter.

I would say there is about a 5% chance they repeat. The team wasn't that great this year and they are only getting older. I don't know who will win it next year but I say the same thing evey year: This is the Royals' year to break through. But it hasn't even come close to happening.

I won't say it's impossible, but the odds are certainly against them. If the Mets can bolster their starting rotation, I think they will be the runaway favorites in the NL. In the AL, there are lots of very strong contenders, with the Twins, Yankees, and Tigers being the strongest. If I had to pick one, I would say the Twins because they are a solid team on offense, defense, and pitching.

They will make it. It will be the same team with the exception of Edmonds (?). Our pitching staff will be healthy making them all that much more powerful. We won without much help from Big Al. Imagine if he was on fire through the World Series... They played great as a team and will do the same next year.

Um... NO.
They barely won their division. I think the Astros and Reds both have a good shot at passing them within their division and keeping the Cards out of post-season in 2007.

I don't see why they couldn't! No one thought they would do it this year! Plus I think they'll be a better team in 2007. Anything can happen though! GO CARDINALS!!

Would be nice, but doubt it. The Cubbies will have this one. 99 years after their last World Series win.
