My wife and I spent roughly $20,000 on a domestic adoption through a private agency, I hear this is pretty average.
Adopting through a governmental agency will likely be less expensive. Adopting overseas will likely be more expensive.

Depends. Adoptions from a social services organization, like Catholic Charities (for example) can run between $7,000 - $15,000 but private adoptions can run much more!
