my girlfriend was taking the mini pill birth control and she started it on the first day of her menstrual cycle(sept 17th) and then she stopped taking it 2-3 days after her period ended (approx 25th)because of the side effects. well she bleed for about 2 days after she stopped takin those pills. she expected her next period to be off because of this. and now she just took a morning after pill on MONDAY oct 23rd. she is suppose to be gettin her period and has not started it yet.
could it be possible that she will miss a period because all the progesterone hormones she has been taking off and on? or will it just really mess up her cycles??

its normal for the cycle to be goofed for a couple months. tell her to be really careful about having sex because the pill doesnt start working right away. it takes a while before its able to provide good protection. that also means that it takes time before her cycle will return to normal.

Your girlfriend needs to find a birth control pill that works for her and stick to it. She needs to start it the Sunday AFTER her period. Taking birth control on the first day of your period basically tells your body not to have a period. This, in itself, will through her cycle out of whack. Also, since the morning after pill is just a higher dose of pregesterone (typically 3 birth control pills taken a couple times as directed by the pharmacist), her period may take some time to readjust due to the high levels of progesterone.

Use condoms until this time. A condom in the beginning could have prevented the morning after method.

She's probably gonna be messed up for a few months now.

Aren't you supposed to start birth control the Sunday after your period starts, not the first day?

birth control messes up your body, and if she ever had a normal period that came the same time all the time, it won't now until it is out of the system all together and gets back to how it used to be which will take a while.

I was one birth control for 5 months after my daughters birth, I still got pregnant, I did not find out until I was two months along. Birth control does mess up your cycles.

i'd pick the IUD if I were you. I had the Mirena IUD for 3 years, and performance lately had it bumped off to attempt for toddler volume 2. The IUD became painless to get in, I had it put in at my 6 week verify up after my daughter became born. it really is secure to apply if you're nursing your new child, and it lasts for 5 years!!! Plus you do not ought to pressure about pills or something else. the in basic terms imagine i did not comprehend after I were given the Mirena is it really is can take awhile on your menstral cycles to go back to typical after having the IUD bumped off. I had mine bumped off in December 2008, and contained in the previous couple months my cycles have finally back to typical, except that, I truly recommend the IUD!

Tell her to stop being such a slut & wait till she's married or she's gonna get some disease and/or a bastard child that she'll have to take care of herself
