To cure it you can use an antibiotic cream or a cream for yeast. To prevent it, wipe his neck everytime after he eats and keep powder on it.

This is normally caused by the neck not getting enough air and the area staying moist I would suggest trying to keep this area dry by using a wash cloth with plain water baby wipes can sometimes irritate the area more and baby powder dry the skin use a diaper rash cream if this does not clear it up in a couple of days take your baby to the doctor

My baby had the same thing. It takes a few days but just give the baby a bath more frequently and make sure to wash that area well. You can also try putting a bib on so that milk won't spill on to that area and a little bit of baby powder that's pure corn starch (yeah I know it sounds weird but it works) but make sure you put it in your hand first then apply it on your baby's neck.

I agree with keeping the area clean, even my baby used to get milk on her neck, and she didn't have a lot of folds or anything. Put baby powder on it after washing and drying. (From your hand, not straight out of the bottle.) It works well to absorb moisture - I also use it in the summertime for my child.

Desitin Diaper Rash Ointment -believe it or not.

Do not put baby powder on there. Any pediatrician will tell you Baby Powder is not good for the baby at all. It is finely chopped stone.

I agree the irratation is from sweat and milk getting traped where you can't see. baby powder or even diaper rash cream should do the trick. This is not a problem for a doctor.

the doctor told us the baby rash cream would work too- along with powder is what we used. that and keeping the area as clean as you can. (it also gets like that in their arm pits occassionally) After you bath your child, make sure that area is nice and dry also. It'll get better!

Try to wash it everyday with a gentle wash cloth & baby wash. If it doesn't clear, consult your baby's doctor.
