Set the resolution. Right click on desktop - properties and then display

Always use the native resolution if you can. Otherwise the image will look either stretched or squashed. LCDs can usually handle the highest resolutions, however. Play around with the resolutions, and keep in mind most sites/games suggest a certain resolution that works best for that purpose. Some require that a certain resolution or better to be used.

You have it set for the wrong resolution. LCD monitor's work best at a certain resolution. Check the documentation that came with the LCD.
