I am looking to start a forum/ message board and would LOVE to know who has the best, easiest to use (not very computer savvy) and better looking out there.
I don't want it to look crappy at all and it really needs to be easy to run.

1) PhpBB = easy, simple, free
2) IPB = not as easy, not free for real version, but offers much more

Depending on the type of server that is hosting your website you have different options. You can use the PHP based http://www.phpbb.com or the ASP.Net version http://www.yetanotherforum.net
