in current society, I think men have a slight edge in the "easier" category, and before anyone bashes me as a man hater or what ever, let me explain.
In business, I am a strong viable hardworking woman, I am often classified as a b*tch, a man in my situation would not face questions like, who takes care of your kid?, or what does your husband think of you working these hours?
If I am peeved at something at work, because someone is not doing their job, it is constantly whispered, I must be "PMS'ing".
Females are often judged on their appearance more then men, a man with gray hair is distinguished, a female is a old hag.
A man who is over weight goes and buys a suit, they call it a "executive cut" a woman gets "plus size".
But, no I have never really wished to be anything except female, I love being female, I love the sexuality we have, and the strength we have in being female.

When I was younger I did. When I was younger I imagined what it would be like to be a woman. Also if I were a woman I would be a total lesbian.
Woman have a zillion clothes and shoes to choose from. Clothes for guys are just boring. Women have more options in this modern day society, and I generally feel woman are more powerful than men in a lot of areas. I feel that feminine energy is the most underestimated force in the modern day world, which is why men and society work so hard to control it. I would also be able to have a child, which would be a plus.
Woman are more open minded. Women can have full expression where as for men that sort of things is frowned upon, and the one thing that both sexes can agree upon is that both sexes find the female form a work of art.
The monthly menstrual cycle would be annoying, but I think I could deal with that. I think being a woman has more positive payoffs than being a man.
I don't think like that anymore because I've been a man for 44 years now and I like being a man and can see a few advantages, but taking the long view, I should have been born a woman.
And NO I'm not a woman in a man's body for those who are quick to judge.

First of all I do NOT want to be a man. I'm very happy with my natural girlishness! And I think it varies from culture to culture in regards to what gender has it easier or harder. In some cultures women are nothing more than a body to use for reproduction and sexual pleasure. I sure would NOT want to live like that especially being that I am a lesbian!

I think it really depends on what you mean by 'easier.' The expectations placed on both are different and hard to compare directly (most obvious: women are supposed to be pretty, soft and passive; men are supposed to be strong, brave and aggressive) and which ones are easier to deal with really depend on how close you come naturally to those expectations.
And I've spend most of my life not just wishing I was the opposite sex but trying to become as close to it as I can (I'm mtf tg.)

Men. Men can write thier name in the snow! Seriously, I think women have a harder time in life than us men do. I am curious about what it is like to be female, and I have discussed this with many women, but no, I've never seriously wanted to BE female, as in change my gender from male to female. I'd carry too much guy baggage and probably end up a lesbian. As a guy, I have too much fun being WITH the ladies. It's the sex thing actually. I really like the sex thing.

Men have it easier getting employment, especially if they are physically fit. That's when they are young. Older men who are not so fit, find it harder. No one really wants to hire an aging construction worker with a bad back.
When I was still in high school, I resented the whole female thing. Now I wouldn't want to be a man for anything. My life has been interesting, if not rewarding, and I don't spend my time looking for someone to sack with.

no! I am a male and would never want to be a female. I think that both sexes have a hard time in this rough world of ours but, I still think that girls have it worse. In many ways this stems back from the women rights movements and feminism. I think that women feel abliged to take on too many different roles IE work, go to school, start the family, love the husband or boyfriend, and still take care of everything. I love women but am glad I am not one nor would I ever want to be...

I think both sexes are about equal in this department we both have issues that are hard for us to deal with as well as different pressures that society puts on us...the only problem is we don't see each other as equal! Yes at times I have wished I were a guy...that way i couldn't get knocked up!

it's socially easier for women. a woman can make a joke about men in mixed company but if a man makes a joke about women he usually gets labelled a sexist. it's little things like that, things that women can get away with and men can't. feminism brought about a lot of good but there are now more double standards in our society. as for 'men are favoured for jobs and in school'......at university most of my teachers (male and female) had the opinion that boys were naturally sillier than girls and couldn't concentrate as well.....and as for in the workplace i.e. who gets the promotion, the man or the woman....bosses generally choose whoever is the best, all they're concerned about is making money and improving efficiency.

I don't mean to read so aggressive on this question. But my answer is HELL NO! I was born female. I love being a female and if I died and had the chance to come back I would still want to be a strong black beautiful with the greatest sense of humor everyone loving me female. And that's the way that goes!
