I understand your worry but you have to think that putting your daughter with other 6th graders when she's not at their same level will not benefit he at all, but will make her feel very frustrated as she won't be able to keep up with any of the work done.

You worry about the school "belittling" her by putting her in with younger children but at least then she'll be able to learn and do the work and take pride in what she does. If she's put into 6th grade, her self esteem will be very low as she'll see the other children as "smarter" or "better" than her.

Being put in the 6th grade would also affect her secondary education as she won't be able to learn everything she needs to be at the required level in one year and will therefore start secondary school WAY behind the other children.

Finally, I really do understand your concern. Maybe you could get her some extra help outside school and she will be able to catch up with the other 6th graders more quickly? Maybe then she'd be able to be put up a couple of years.

However, I do think the school should've contacted you, if just to explain why they have chosen to do this. Keep contacting them and if they still do not answer, go to the school personally or contact the local education authority.

Good luck.

I don't know the actual rules regarding this but I would think that the school would have to consult with you before making any decisions regarding your daughter's education and class placement. Since you are not getting a response to your phone calls maybe you should contact the main office for your school district or the superintendent's office. Or you could drop by the school and demand that someone talk to you about it. There should be someone who can talk to you even if the principal is not there.

Maybe she is, but is she at a grade 6 level yet? There's no point in trying to put her into a class she's not ready for, she'll just probably fail her classes. She has to have the basics first. Try and teach her yourself so that she can learn more and quickly get out of that class.

Because they can't slow down the rest of the 6th grade class to get your daughter up to speed..
If she is at the 2nd grade level she should have been held back instead of socially promoted.

have been the police contacted? Did the college report this to the government? heavily, this different baby desires help and you could desire to verify approximately submitting rates. I doubt they are going to bypass a ways, yet a minimum of it could be sufficient to get this youngster interior the device so he can get some help. As on your daughter you could desire to instill in her that it replaced into no her fault and do what you could to tutor her that she has no longer something to sense embarrassment approximately and that she would desire to consistently do what she will to make specific she fights for herself. She needs to nicely known this replaced right into a great incident, one she had no fault in! relatively get her into some style of scientific care... you do no longer prefer to take any adverse aspects with how she handles all of this and now and lower back it helps alot to have somebody like a therapist there to additionally tell her it wasn't her fault.
