I use tampons and for at least my past two cycles, I've noticed that only one side of the tampon gets dirty...the other side doesn't get any blood at all on it. Is this something I should be worried about? And why does this happen?

dont be alarmed. each time you have a period your ovaries release an egg. you have two ovaries one on the left and one on the right. each month they should rotate on shedding the egg. whatever side is bleeding is the side that is shedding the egg. so the tampon will only have blood on that side unless you leave in in too long or your bleeding really heavy.

It's normal, and it's due to our old friend gravity making liquids tend to gather on the bottom. If you don't have a heavy enough flow to soak your tampon, you will notice that the side that was downwards will be more bloodied. In most women's anatomy, this will be the side that's nearer your back.

A Mystery I guess mine does that sometimes and other times it does not I noticed when I first start it doesn't because flow is heavy when it slows down and is less it does it. My Ob said it was normal
