You will not be able to directly connect the HDD to the laptop. You would need to build or purchase an enclosure for that HDD to make it into an external drive. Not only is the HDD physically larger, but the connection type is different. Laptops do not use the same pin setting as a traditional IDE in a desktop. To make this work, your best and easiest solution is the external enclosure.

No. A hard drive in a pc is a different size from that of one in a laptop. The one in the laptop is a bit smaller.

I have used adapters that go the other way, but I have not seen the adapter that will allow you to plug a "desktop drive" into a laptop. It is simply a matter of the adapter and size of the drive. The laptop drives are tiny.
Good luck

Probably not. As most HD on desktop PC are 3.5" models while laptops use 2.5" HD. Size and space do matter there.

Get a powered external USB drive enclosure. ($25 at NewEgg.com)
Stick the PC disk in there and hook it up.
Plug the power in and plug the USB cable in to both the laptop and the enclosure.
That should do it.

NO I DONT THINK SO. I BELIEVE THAT THE HARD DRIVE IS A LAPTOP IS SMALLER IN SIZE.BUT YOU COULD TRANSFER TO ANOTHER DESKTOP, IF YOU KNOW HOW TO PARTITION A HARD DRIVE. I WOULD SAY OPEN THE LAPTOP AND SEE IF THE HARD DRIVE IS CLOSE TO THE SAME SIZE,BUT I THINK THE HARD DRIVE IN THE LAPTOP IS MORE COMPACT.

Gutting lap tops is very hard, because they are so compacted into that small space. If it were a computer tower I would say do it, thats easy, but lap tops are something else.
