have a bill that is torn in half, the serial numbers are the same. is this still currency and legal tender?

yes even if it is wripped in half they will still take it, it will just be only half. for instance if you brought in a $20 and it was only halk of it they would give you ten.

Yes, each half is worth half the bill's value. As long as you have the serial #'s it's ok

reading these answers I had never heard of it being worth half so I checked with a local bank and i guess it is true
