that is not a best friend!!! no matter what...if he knew how you felt about this girl he should know she is off limits. no excuses. i know it hurts but you're better off w/o either one.

You make no mention of what this girl thinks of you. Are you and she also dating or do you just love her? Your friend has no obligation to stand aside and not date a girl because you are in love with her but not dating. If you are dating and she chooses to date him as well, then she has not made up her mind yet. Your friend can't "steal" your girlfriend unless it is with her full cooperation. Your friend is not trying to hurt you, he too is looking for someone to love and if it happens to be the same person you do that is unfortunate. Girls are not like real estate where youu can stake a claim and drive off trespassers unless you are married. Don't allow it to ruin a good friendship as they last a lot longer than most romances.

Love is definately selfish. U may not know, but probably he was dating her much before he knew abt ur feelings.
Also,as it is clear, u r upset that he didnt sacrifice his love for ur sake, Buddy, are u willingto sacrifice ur feelings, to let ur friend and the girl live happily. Think over it, love is selfish!
I would suggest, stay calm, dnt loose ur friend for one girl.If he wasnt ur best friend, he would have kicked ur ***, on finding abt ur feelings.he didnt tell abt his affair because he dint want to hurt u.I belive he is certainly a Good friend of yours.
U can shy away from ur friend, if this is so disturbing to u.

That actually happened to me...I've been crazy in love with a guy for years...and recently my best friend started talking to him...then sees dating him and now THEY LIVE TOGETHER... all of this since July...I still love him and I am very angered by my best friend but really there's nothing I can do about it besides get rid of my best friend...I'm still puzzled by this...but I'm just moving on....

let them both go. if either one really cared about u or ur feelings and thought of u as a real friend then they woulnt have went behind ur back like that and hurt u. There are people out there that will consider ur feelings and be a true friend. tell them how you feel than move on.
