I think that option was on the table at one time but it is not true. What will be built in it's place is something called "Freedom Tower"

No they are not rebuilding the Twin Towers. They are putting up something else in it's place. I know that they are going to build a memorial for the victims of 9/11 but I don't know where. I don't know if it's on the site where the twin towers use to be or not. I've also heard something a Freedom tower being built there so I'm really not sure.

Nope.
A single Tower will be built instead - Freedom Tower. Rather than turing the tradegy into triumph by making the poor of New York a bit better off, the powers that be are looking at spending 100's of millions (if not a Billion $) on this tower.

They wont re-build the twin towers, however, they are building something else on the site of the twin towers.

If it isn't it should be true. It would (in my humble opinion) send a message. You can hurt us but you will never take us down forever.
