Well,Nehru sure was on 50 paise and one rupee coins......but never on notes.....coz,maybe these people are really great;no one wud want Bhagat Singh to be mercilessly defaced by paan stains....or by illegible scrolls of illiterates....we are too proud to see that....so it's best that these real heroes are not on our currency.......Gandhi's enuff.
And,ur second part........that's bcoz these guys never took their history lessons seriously;so they have to fall back upon bollywood.

u kno what indian people don't like much people they only take 1 or 2 people for their glory. in movie u see only sharukh khan is the great actor people believe.in cricket they play those guys who are not even in form u know india is a place where people can't make progress.people still believe amitabh bachan a great actor and no one can't beat him why?there are many actor came and gone but these asshile people don't think that they are good actor
but in U.S that doesn't happen every people become independent

There is something called Domination.
There is also role models what we have to follow according to old traditional indians.
Most of them see Gandhi as a role model for non violence(Subhash Chandra Bose), Non political(Nehru) and many more factors.
If I am taking a decision on these I would prefer to use Bagat Singh, Chandra Bose and also Abdul Kalam for modern days.
Wouldn't you do the same?????

beats me! but what can we do in this gandhi obssessed country...i mean i totally like gandhi n all but hey, bhagat singh was the one who made the youth of the country stand up. n there are bhagat singh fans out here... for every lage raho munnabhai, we have a rang de basanti.. yay!!

we need to be awaken and still the fact to be unveiled is those bast..rd english ppl used to come to india for studies and we got the oldest uni. Nalanda, and for this regard Bapu is the FATHER OF NATION thats why he deserves that spot and we got abt a fair amount of hero's who got us freedom Bhagat Singh will always remain special..
