depending on how much there heroin addicton costs them per day.If its a twenty pound a day habit they will stay until they make that much, if its more than twenty they stay longer. Sorry not painting everyone with the same brush but in LEEDS city centre it is definately without a doubt 90% or more i know this through working with a large majority of them, the ones I dont know, I get to know, through passing by or meeting them at the centre where I work. The good thing about the big issue is the fact that it stops people thieving and ending up in jail which cost the tax payer a lot more in the long run than what it does cost for the BIG ISSUE every now and again.

Don't know really, but what's funny is that I see the same people in crusty green shirts and army style pants with dreadlocks and the obligitory dog selling a similar paper in Germany. Maybe they do make a bit of money and always manage to have ciggy in their gob, but I wouldn't fancy it much.

with the selling of big issue and begging some tramps in bristol can make about £19k a year tax free! its a joke, they need to sort themselves out and get proper jobs and stop hassling people who are just trying to go about their business. begging has also become a profession in some cities where people are pretending to be tramps and homeless to con people out of money! i never give them anything just incase they are not sincere!

It would depend on how many they sell.
The magazine doesn't really have a fixed price so they can price it at whatever they like.
the reason homeless people keep dogs is because they can pick up an allowance for keeping the animal (i.e.: to help feed it)

I dont know but why do most of them have dogs?
If you were homeless would you want another mouth to feed. Do people give more money in case he/she eats the dog.

more than us and who knows most people give a pound and don't want the mag so there is no tax stamp insurance and i know one girl she gets into her vw Beadle after a day at work new as well it is a disgrace there are so many people taking the piss with people generosity i would say give directly the cause and stamp out the sham less thief's who do it it is big business Dave
