I definitely believe this! I had been a totally shy, quiet person until about 1-2 years ago. I finally decided to quit being that quiet girl I once was and changed myself. How? I read books (self help ones) and did what they said to do, I brought up conversations with strangers (something I never would have done 5 years ago), and changed my attitude completely. I am now more outgoing, fun to be around, joke a lot more with those I know and love, etc.

I am also going back to school for my bachelor's in psychology. I believe that the more knowledge we have, the more we change. I wouldn't have changed my personality if I didn't have the knowledge and drive to do it. I am 41 (42 in Dedember) and am still constantly changing. I believe that we change until the day we die. If we don't hcange and grow, then we aren't living life, we are just here, just a body in the world doing nothing to improve ourselves. Improving ourselves is key to change.

Physically, we are always changing; we are effected by what we put into our body and our environment. Also, even after you reached physical maturity, your body is in an aging process. As far as personality (what makes you, you) is concerned, I do not think we are constantly changing. Yes, it is true that new information or realizations can change the way we approach events or understand things but it is only a modification of what is already there. I do not think people can really change; they can only modify themselves upon what already is there.

Yes, we are always changing. I know more today than I did yesterday by watching news, movies and/or even commercials. We are constantly learning new things, changing our old outdated items for newer ones and learning life's experiences. We may forget many of learned things when we get older, but that's another question.

Oh, of course - one of the most marvelous things about being human is that we have the ability to learn and grow and change. You can answer this question yourself - are you the same person you were five years ago?

Yes, I believe this. I am not the same as I was yesterday; some aspects of me are not noticeably different but I have changed.

Yes.

We are all constantly interacting with our environment. Given this, our brains are updating connections between neurons constantly (i.e. making new connections or pruning back on others). With this said, you are no longer the same person that you were before the update took place.

I beleive it, things are constantly changing around us, so we change according to our environment. We might change back to the way we usually are in an environment, but things are always changing, so we adapt. We are also constantly learning and new knowledge changes us.
