My husband says,
If your husband is ashamed of a little wieght gain, it's more about your husband's lack of manhood, than you. I'm sorry the reason your husband married you for your body, I married my wife because I'm a fool in love.

I think and hope most men don't feel that way. But, I have seen a man act that way. I know this couple. When they are out at a store or someplace, he walks behind her a good distance. Like he doesn't want anyone to know he's with her. And he has made mean comments in front of others. She's not pregnant but, overweight. She's a wonderful person and he's very lucky to have her. Without her he would have been nothing and all of us (her friends) know this. I think one day he will pay for this. Actually I see it happening now. I won't say why.

I gained weight and I'm still proud of being seen with my wife.
I know that's not what you meant. There is a big difference between gaining weight and getting preggers. Guys are usually pleased with their preganant wives and table all discussion of weight gain until much later. There is another group who find pregnant women very attractive.
Don't worry about it.

I think if you are worried about appearances then you are worrying too much. You are growing a life. This is the most precious time of your life. You are probably glowing radience. We are our own worst critics. I think the problem lies with you. Beauty is skin deep for you. The real beauty is the miracle in your tummy and the fact you are probably a great mother. Do you think your husband married you because you are hot? Think about what makes you who you are. I can guarantee looks have very little to do with it. If you husband is ashamed, that would be warped. I'm sure your husband is very proud.

First of all, a pregnant woman is very sexy. Especially if you are the one that made her pregnant. I have been married for 16 years, and my wife stuck with me when I gained over 100 lbs and got up to 380lbs, and she never said anything about me being fat. (that must have been hard). I am now down back to my original weight, of 275 (going to the gym every morning). I don't care how much she weighs, I would always think she is sexy.

Women really shine when pregnant. The weight gain is for the baby. Any husband who is uncomfortable with being 'seen' in public with his pregnant wife thinks only of himself and they sure give out obvious clues. Real love is below the skin, not on it and your husband appears to love you unconditionally. Yes there are men who avoid their pregnant wives. Sad and selfish. Best wishes for your future.

first of all congrats on the baby...second of all if your hubby married you cause he loves you and not what your body looks like then he will not care at all if you gain weight, especially if you and he have created new life. I was worried about it too when i got prego cause i am usually skinny and without stretch marks, but I gained alot of weight and i now have a lovely barrage of stretch marks. but when i told my hubby he told me that he loved my body even more, stretch marks and all cause i was carrying his child. so i would not worry too much about it, especially if he has not indicated that hes ashamed. and if it still bothers you then ask him how he feels, and trust me youll know it hes being honest. i mean you did marry him right?!!

Some men do but not all. You feel that way because of the pregnancy hormones that are being shuffled in your body. Every woman feels this way when they are pregnant. If you are seeking for him to be more tentative to your feelings, then let him know. You are a beautiful woman and more now cause you're giving life to someone he contibuted to.

If he loves you for who you are-regardless on how much weight you've gained because of your pregnancy, its wonderful! Besides, he's the father of your children and men shouldn't be ashamed of women!
