you are a hypocrite when you tell something not to do something - then go and do it - right?
lets take the example of gossiping
what if i gossiped about jane with paula. the next day i get born again and see the error of my ways.
then i hear paula gossiping about jane and tell her to stop.
would i be a hyprocrite? i mean im not the same person i was because i have accepted jesus into my heart? right?????

It is not hypocritical to change it is hypocritical to remain the same while condemning others for doing the same thing.

The word Hypocrite is used and applied way too freely.

Still, telling someone they are wrong due to a religious awakening is just rude and simplestic.

We are all hypocrites at some point. And we all change perspectives as we age and or mature.

Still the term is a valid one. But the people judging and labeling others would do better to show a bit of tolerance. We really should not throw stones if we live in glass houses. Jesus had it right, let the first who has not sinned cast the first stone. But maybe it shoud go even further. Perhaps we shouldn't throw a stone unless we haven't ever sinned, nor think we would do so in the future??
Then we would be truly striving for perfection AND we would never become hypocrites.

I think all poeple are hypocritical sometimes, especially when you have children, you might not tell them what wild things you did in the past, and expect them to not experiment themselves.
