I wouldn't give up working altogether, but I'd promise myself never to work in a call centre again. I'd go back to university, hopefully get a PhD and then spend my life doing the work I really want to do without needing to drain much needed research and conservation funds in order to draw a salary.

you have a point that working could be a way to keep yourself occupy with the pleasure of owning more money but i think i wouldn't give up my job all together because no matter how much money you get, there will always be a time when it will disappear if you just do nothing with it and or spend it all in one go so if i won the lottery, i would invest the money in something like restaurant and not necessarily keep my job but i can also have a new one, managing the thing. at the end of the day it's all up to you really...

In a freaking heartbeat I would quit my job. I would make sure the company has time to replace me but heck yeah, I would leave. There are other things that will keep me busy like traveling, visiting relatives, and friends all over the U.S. and the last thing I would make sure I was doing was donating lots of money to the MS Chapter Society as I have MS and always willing to vonunteer for anything I possibly can. BEsides the MS treats me better than the company I work for now does. I would also get another college degree but this time it will be something I have dreamt for all my life to be an Archeaologist. I think that would keep me busy, ya think?

Really depends how much I won. If it was more than £10 million I'd probably never work for anybody else again but set up my small own business and live comfortably for the rest of my days safe in the knowledge I'm pretty safe even if the business doesn't bring in that great a return.

It depends on how much I won. If I won Take-5, for example, the top prize is only a couple of hundred thousand. Lotto has prizes in the millions, but you'd still have to make it last. Mega Millions is the way to go--tens of millions--but the odds are astronomical on winning! Even so, I would probably keep working even though I had all that moola on hand--idle hands are the devil's playground, ya know...*S*

The work would have to go if i won enough money .
I could keep myself busy travelling around the world not just for a couple of months but years and years.

No, I would continue to work, I enjoy my career. I work in social work and chemical dependency counseling and also take classes whenever time allows. This makes me feel very centered. So, I would probably work less and go to university more. But would never stop working, the position is to rewarding for me personally. It is a wonderful experience to see people rise above their circumstances and gain confidence within themselves. That is a very huge reward for me at the end of the day. I feel I have served a purpose. i would most probably opne up a youth center within my community for after school and weekend use. God bless

I would still work to keep up my skills in case I would ever lose my fortune. But I would quit my second job. Also, I don't know if I would work for someone else. If i was that rich, why take orders from someone. I would maybe open up my own business and I would also buy old houses and transform them into shelters for homeless cats.
