i drove for an hour no heating problem with the temperature gauge. then after the car is turned off there is a release of pressure and then you hear a bubbling sound coming from near the engine. the coolant level is fine and it is running fine but there just is the bubbling up of some fluid from up underneath. any similar problems or solutions

There is not problem. The radiator has an overflow bottle that is filled when the engine is running, the heat also produces pressure. When the engine is turned off the pressure is released and the fluid then drains back into the radiator. When it stops doing that is when you need to worry.

To be certain where the fluid underneath is coming from you need to crawl under the car and check ! As for the bubbling that could be a normal noise! And it could be that you have a problem with your cooling system. I am not sure what car you have but, You need to check and see if the water pump is leaking. If you have a front wheel drive car then it will be visible from the side looking over the fender. If you have a rear wheel drive then it will be visible looking over the grill/front bumper. the water pump is directly behind the belts. Usually the center pulley is attached to the water pump. There is a tiny weep hole at the bottom of the pump where the shaft goes into the casting, look for the presents of water there. I hope this helps! I haev also heard similar noises after running the AirConditioner . Some of these noises can be worrysome . Best advise !
