I am taking a buisness trip to Greensboro NC and would like to watch the sunrise over the ocean. I have never been to the east coast and am really excited about this trip. Thanks for helping me on this.

I know from Durham it's about 3 hours so from Greensboro I'm guess about 3:45 to 4 hours to the coast. And the best beaches to go to would be Atlantic Beach, NC or Sunset Beach, NC they are both great. Just be sure to avoid Wrightsville Beach and Myrtle Beach they are dirty and crowded.

The furthest point on the other side of the world is called your antipode. Greensboro, NC's antipode is in the Indian Ocean off the west coast of Australia, so it's not on land. But yes, the furthest point on land is near Margaret River, Western Australia. There is a map at my source link below and you can move the starting pointer to see the antipodes of various places..(You will have to zoom out if you end up in an area of ocean.)

Wow, that's a loaded question. Do you have a destination on the coast in mind? From Greensboro to Myrtle Beach, SC it's about a 3 hr ride taking your time and stopping to eat, etc.......

i would have to say 2-3 hour drive since you are going to be closer to the mountains.
