Veronica says no, but she fails to give a reason why. I have no problem with polygamy as long as it is between consenting adults. How people choose to live their adult lifes is nobody's business but their own. People who want to control who anyone else commits to for life are controlling and self loathing. How is their marriage threatened in any way shape or form by the marriage/s of another? Advantages would be always having someone you trust to care for your kids, and maintain the homefront. Disadvantages would include the potential that not all wives will be happy with not getting their man every night. I just know that how they deal with this is between those who are living it, and should not be judged or controlled by people who think they have some authority over the personal relationships of others.

Sure among consenting adults.
Benifits
time alone
split chores for the household
someone else to depend on emotionally
help raising kids
not feeling so needy and alone
being able to trust if someting happens to you, your family will be okay
more exciting when it's your night with your husband
2 different sexual styles for the guy!
hopefully someone can cover your weak spots in cooking or cleaning

No man in his right mind would want to have to deal with two women within the same household. Men can barely deal with one wife and the complexities of the female mind, let alone two or more! So the answer to your question would be a negatorie captain.

yes, if polyandry (having more than 1 husband) is allowed too. Men will think about it twice before entering a marriage where a woman can get another husband.

I'm not for it personally, however if two people love one person and that one person loves them both who are we to judge? I personally know two men who are "married" to a woman and has one child with them each. Yea, I think it's weird, I don't understand it, but just like a gay realtionship, who am I to judge their situation, if their happy...it doesn't hurt me. Why should we decide how people choose to love one another? Love isn't always traditional.

Yes/no... yes if it is agreed upon by all parties. Why? because they're going to do it anyway, may as well tax it.

no if it isn't agreed upon by all parties because COME ON....

And finally: I think it's funny to watch a guy try to juggle 2 or more women. Honestly. It is.

It would be interesting to see how it would work in the modern world. I like to have 10 working wives that cook and like to do me.

I believe that in the USA we should have the FREEDOM OF CHOICE to live as a person is happy to live as long as it does not harm anyone or anything.
