Dont take a sicky just leave earlier just have some one call your job and ask to speak to you b/c there is a family emergency and from there on it will seem real

Winter Vomiting Virus. I was seriously ill at new year, but it only lasted about 36 hours. However, I had to wait till two days after all the symptoms has stopped before I could return to work to avoid giving it to anyone else (and I really wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy).

I always have trouble with this as i am a nurse and if i phone in and say that i feel ill they always ask me to go in and get checked over, so i often say that i have a bad cold as we are not allowed to work with a bad cold!

If you're a woman, tell your boss its female problems, only works if your boss is male. Another one would be to say you ate something bad at lunch. Or someone in your family is really sick.
