Eddie Murphy. Jim Carey is like a one joke comic. All he really has is the faces he pulls. Eddie Murphy puts a lot of thought and hard work into his routines and he makes me laugh a lot.

To me Eddie Murphy is a better comedian, Jim Carey is a crowd puller at times, and they both sure know how to make you laugh.

Eddy...1) To this day his Raw peformance still makes me laugh, Second he is a clasic Comedian, Third he doesn't do the same shtick over and over again like Jim Carey!

Jim Carey was so funny in his earlier days.. liar lair..ace venture, dumb and dumber... but he seems to have bad rolls...
Eddie murphy is the same... but he can carry on doing voice for Shreks all his life!
Bottom line... both were amazing once... but i think Eddie has slight edge these days!

I personally prefer Jim Carrey. Plus I think he has shown there is another side to his act with The Truiman Show, Man on the Moon and Eternal Sunshine of The Spotless Mind.
