For grammar, Strunk & White's Elements of Style. For vocabulary, any standard English dictionary. Also, if you have a "My Yahoo" page, you can put a feed from the Free Dictionary (Word of the Day) and dictionary.com which will list new words every day.

If you want to read for fun and you like science fiction or science fact, read Isaac Asimov's books. He was a wonderful writer and had a knack for explaining things in a simple, understandable way without talking down to the reader. His books are fun reads as well as informative.

The Merriam-Webster English Dictionary and its glossaries.

Also read: "Eats, Shoots and Leaves" (I'm not kidding).

Also read as much English as you can. Using language is like a musical instrument, you need to practice.

Oh, and it's "...world's best book."
