The guy always driving into work with a car that has yellow drunk driver plates sort of tips you off.

To those who say it's nobody's business. What if this person had killed one of your children while driving drunk?

If this person is still driving ,keep him off the highway while any of my mine or anyone Else's family is out side of their house.Better yet lock him up in a 4x4x4 cell until we are to old to worry about him.

what are yellow drunk driving plates?

Unless he's clearly drunk when he gets to work, there's nothing you can do. Everybody has something in their past - let him move on with his life.

If he's harmed a child you know, then it's an entirely different story - press charges!!

does this co-worker drive a company vehicle ?? is this conviction effecting his performance ??

I work with a several young people that do drugs(they brag about their weekend escapades every monday around here) as long as it doesn't effect me or their performance at work why do I care, that's up to our supervisor to handle not me. Our company just let 17 people go in my department and none of the druggys went.

I'm just here for the paycheck.

There isn't anything you can do or should do. Is this a judgmental question or do you really feel there is something you should do?

Now, if you're catching the person actually driving drunk, that's a different matter and requires a different question.

If you can see the plates, presumably your boss can too. If it isn't an issue for management, end of story.

I do not know what state you are in and why those plates are issued. Is it possible that he was under the influence of prescription medication. It does happen. I know that doesn't excuse his actions but I would suggest it is worthy of some understanding if that is, indeed, the case.

i'd mind my business, as it has nothing to do with me.

What state has a different tag like that? Are you sure he didn't donate money to get that tag?

so you found out at work that this person had been convicted of killing your kids while drunk driving? I think i would have known before work.

If you live in Ohio - he is required to have the plate on his car IF he has had a DUI or DWI twice in a ten year span. The plates are to be a red flag to police and they can pull him over anytime.

Politely put.........
So I think - he is as enough law enforcement monitoring his car's movement that you can mind your business and get on with your own life. Also Don't accept a ride with him.

Or not politely.............
Just mind your own business and shut up.

I don't believe that its anyones business unless they have to drive with the job such as a delivery driver. Other than that, its there own business, if you feel strongly about there drinking and driving tell them in private your convictions about this.

Unless he is endangering my life or those around me, nothing. If he has the plates, he is an advertisement in and of himself and the authorities know it so why do anything to make it worse. If anything i would try to be a friend and see if i could help him to stop his drinking all together. Just think of what you would want him to do if it was you in his place instead of him. How would you want him to treat you?

I have to agree with everyone else, it really isn't any ones business. I work at a mill and it gets so old listening to people talk about others when they really should just worry about themselves. Look in the mirror and call yourself perfect and mean it before judging others. Good luck :)
