They may not go as far, but they will have a good record (if we look at both Boston and the White Sox, they had decent years)

The Tigers are an average team that had an excellent season. Don't look for them to do what they did this year, next season. Leland should be manager of the year.
If the Tigers were that good they should have smoked the Cardinals. The played like a little league team, maybe worse!! As a matter of fact I watched the little league world series this year and found that to be 100 times more interesting and better played!

I don't expect the Tigers to do as well. Their hitting was mediocre yet very timely. They obviously came back down to earth with untimely hitting in the World Series. Everybody builds their teams to compete with the Yankees. Its been obvious over the past several years that the Yankees struggle with young pitchers who can bring the hard stuff. Other teams will be offering the young Tigers a butt load of money to be their "Yankee Stopper". Factor all of this in with being in the same division as the Twins and White Sox, and the Tigers are gonna be thankful the Royals own the cellar of the American League Central

I can't believe people are actually saying they will not be a strong team, I'm a White Sox fan and I say yes they will be strong. They probably won't make it to the world series again but they have great young pitching and they will be better next year. They will need to work on more consistent offense but yes they will be strong next season.

The Tigers should be better in 07, their young pitchers will be more mature, and probably fill some offensive holes as well with trades and free agent signings.

They may not be as strong as they were this year,
but I see them being a serious contender.
I'm woried about the pitching not being as good.
look what happened to the chicago whinny sux.
thier pitching got them through all of last year
then went south this year.
anything can happen
but i expect them to fight
with Minnesota for the division
while the southside crybabies
(aka the whinny sux)
finish in 3rd (or hopefully 4th).

They have the same chance as you catching a 4000 lb Guppy in a 10 gallon tank.

They will probably win in the mid 80's, like 84 or 85 wins and finish in third in their division.

as long as they have Jim Leyland, I think they will remain a pretty good team.
