Go out and get a job. You do not have the luxury of laziness. Go out every day until you find something... even if it's temporary... then budget all of your expenses... pay off your loans, no matter how long it takes... then go back to school... in today's society, you need a degree... get one that means something... business is a good choice... and then get a better Job. Find a nice place to live... improve your environment... and you'll feel better about yourself. But the one thing that no one can abide is laziness... anything you want... you have to go out and get for yourself... if you know what you want and don't reach for it... you will only have yourself to blame... so start pointing that finger at yourself unless you mean to be different.

You can do it... anyone can... just get over your apathy.

Get a job. Any job. Save 10% of what you earn, by any way you can: wear used clothes, eat cheap food like Ramen noodles, rice and beans, tortillas and government cheese.

There are boooks on dumpster diving that can tell you how to save a LOT on food, if you have the stomach for it.

You can cook damn near everything with a toaster oven and a microwave: a hotplate can also be quite useful.

Go to school. Get your GED and then find some career that pays fairly well (your state employment office can be a great help here, as can the counselor at any community college). Doing color stripping in a print shop pays pretty well and there iusn't a lot of competition. Take advantage of any govt help you can, but do not become dependent on it. Always try to earn more, and to get ahead.

Invest your money in mutual funds. Use the internet to see how to find good no-load funds and make sure that you invest all you can in an IRA or Roth IRA plan every year.

Take public transportation and avoid all the expenses associated with having a car (the car, maintainance and insurance) if you can.

Use the public library for computer access and books on almost everything. Also check out used book stores, thrift stores and yard sales. In Feb and Mar, people sell a lot of really good stuff real cheap to make room for the newer stuff they got at Xmas.

Never spend money on new stuff if you can get decent stuff used for less. It is amazing what people throw away in the US. Check out their trash on Solid Waste days, especially in fancy neighborhoods.

Remember when going to yard and garage sales that poor people sell stuff cause they need money, but rich floks sell stuff because they need space. Bargain and haggle , but in a good mood, and you will get a lot of stuff for less.

Good luck.

I have been there. First of all, I got back by faith , when I got down on my knees and prayed for the first time in years. Yeah, I know that sounds corny but you will be surprized how much that can help. Next try to get any job, at McDonalds if needs be. Get night classes and up your education. Keep believing that you can do it. The only difference between the guy who feels that he is no one, and a person who holds down a great job, is the way they think of themselves. Believe you me, when you start to believe you can do it , you can.

yeah I'd have to agree, the best thing to do is to get a job. Or become a wizard, but a job would probably be better.

Your moniker says most of your problem. Everything you enumerate show lack of responsibility. You want to make a success of life? Own what you do.

You never give up trying.
Even if the world forsake you, you do not turn your back on yourself.
