I am selling beaded jewelry at my very first craft show ever and I may be at the booth by myself if no one else can help me. Any pointers from experienced craft show-ers?? Help! I'm nervous!

Besides the good advice given by the other posters, I would add, befriend the people at the tables on each side of you and behind you because you will have to use the bathroom and most craft show people are very willing to help each other and be sure to offer to return the favor if they need a quick break. Other than that, maybe you can pay a youngster to help you. My niece helped me out a few times when she was 10 and loved the experience....my son enjoyed it too until it wasn't "cool" anymore. Also, make up a few dozen business cards and display prominently....some people who admire your work but aren't prepared to buy at that time, may like the idea of being able to call you at a later date and perhaps request a more custom piece. Dress neatly but nothing fancy or prospective buyers will think your prices are too high without even checking. Also, I have seen many sales spoiled by crafters trying too hard to "sell". Your work will speak for itself but be friendly and helpful without being pushy or overbearing. Good luck and have fun!!!

Make a decent display for them. if you have a jewellers head (something that has a neck to put them on.) that would work. Or some large, clean rocks. River rocks and crystals work well. This way you can drape them over the rocks to be seen better. Write out the prices (either on little tags or on note cards.)
Get some business cards from vistaprint.
Don't bring a lot of boxes. If you have one, put all of them in a nice suitcase or briefcase(s). Get a tablecloth. (nothing sparkly or boldly patterned as this will distract from the wares). Black, brown, green & dark blue are the best. White is good, but is difficult to keep neat. Makle sure the cloth can drape over the edge of the front of the table, this way you can store your stuff underneath it without looking messy.
Food: Nothing that can stain your hands. Also nothing that is too difficult to swallow quickly. People will always manage to come over when you have a full mouth. Keep a trash bad to dispose of everything and a lot of napkins. The best things: grapes, granola bars, banannas, hard-boiled eggs, pre cooked cheese cubes, pickles and cucumber slices. Water and coffee only.
Good luck.

besides having change and bags . .

know your product be able to talk about the different beads used . . tell what inspired the piece to be made . . give your customers a chance to touch the products . . be friendly talk to your customers . . don't just stare them down as they browse.

if your going to be alone . . minimize your beverage intake every second your away from your booth could result in a lost sale and bring snacks and even some beading to do while your there people like to see you making your items.
