I am selling beaded jewelry at my very first craft show ever and I may be at the booth by myself if no one else can help me. Any pointers from experienced craft show-ers?? Help! I'm nervous!

Been there. You can do it, even without help. Set up your booth so that you can keep an eye on your inventory. If something is stolen, don't panic... it happens. Make a detailed inventory of what you're showing in your booth and make your sales receipts so that what is sold is accurately described. If you can show evidence of theft, let the organizers know about it. Be prepared to collect, and pay, sales tax (depending on your location and the terms of the organizers of the fair).

Be prepared for stupid questions ("how long did it take to make this bracelet"). Be friendly, smile. You'll meet new and interesting people... other crafts people and customers. Be prepared to do some trading... it's always a compliment when someone wants your work. Within reason, even if you're not thrilled with what you get in trade, you've got a future birthday gift covered.

Take comfortable shoes or have something easy to stand on. Shade is good if you're in a hot area... some kind of covering is good if it might rain.

Make sure you include your business card or some kind of identification in each sale. You never know when someone will want more of what they bought.

I've done hundreds of craft shows, and a few of them were so badly organized or the weather was so bad or my location was so out of the way that I SOLD nothing. Do considerable research on any of the bigger crafts show before you sign up.

Let all of your existing customers know that you're doing the fair. If you have stores already selling your stuff, don't undercut their retail price.

Hope this helps.

Make a good show for them. once you've a jewellers head (something that has a neck to placed them on.) that would want to artwork. Or some large, sparkling rocks. River rocks and crystals artwork nicely. this type you are able to drape them over the rocks to be considered more effective perfect. Write out the costs (both on little tags or on be conscious playing cards.) Get some organisation playing cards from vistaprint. do not deliver diverse packing bins. once you've one, placed all of them in a effective suitcase or briefcase(s). Get a tablecloth. (not something sparkly or boldly patterned as this would distract from the wares). Black, brown, eco-friendly & darkish blue are the suitable. White is nice, yet is puzzling to save neat. Makle particular the cloth can drape over the fringe of the front of the table, this type you are able to save your stuff below it without searching messy. nutrients: not something that would want to stain your fingers. also not something it really is in basic terms too puzzling to swallow right away. human beings will continually manage to come back over once you've an finished mouth. save a trash undesirable to get rid of each and every thing and diverse napkins. the suitable issues: grapes, granola bars, banannas, puzzling-boiled eggs, pre cooked cheese cubes, pickles and cucumber slices. Water and espresso in basic terms. good luck.
