First of all wrestling is a joke! Football is just as bad as wrestling with its T.O.'s and other morons trying to get the spotlight. Basketball is populated with nothing but thugs and and tall morons. Baseball's present playoff system stinks!! When a team with 78 loses during the regular season is even given a chance to play for a "world championship" there is something very very wrong with the sport.

I still think baseball is the best of all sports and will defend it to the end but someone has to look at what's happening. It's getting more and more like hockey. The regular season has been so devalued that having the best record in baseball doesn't mean a thing anymore!!!

Of course it's all about the money and that has changed the face of baseball forever.

You mean in popularity in America? Well, wrestling isn't really a sport. That's like saying Broadway plays have taken over baseball.

Basketball is nearly fell off the face of the earth a few years ago. Then the league changed some rules so that six foot white guys who can't play defense can win MVP awards, and now it seems to be pretty popular again. Not as popular as baseball, though.

Football is definitely the most popular sport in the country. If you ask anybody outside of New England or New York, they will tell you the same thing. Almost every game is sold out, the ratings are through the roof, football is more condusive to eating and drinking, and scantily-clad women fit better with football.

This sh!t about the Cards not deserving a championship is pissing me off! Of course they deserve a championship, and anyone who thinks otherwise, is a brain-dead moron! The Cards had the best record in the NL Central, thus qualifying them for postseason baseball. At the beginning of the postseason, your record doesn't mean sh!t ! Everyone starts out 0-0. The Cards postseason record was 11-5. The best record of all the playoff teams. Any team that wins the World Series deserves it because they worked hard to get to the WS and worked even harder to beat the team that no one thought they could beat. Quit trying to find an excuse.

Baseball made a major comeback this year.... park attendance was up all over the league. It may not be quite yet where it once was, but popularity has been on a steady rise since the last work stoppage.

Judging by the ratings of this past World Series, I think baseball has lost it right to be called, America's favorite pastime. I think foorball popularity has surpassed baseball.
