You can't avoid any foods to stop the gas...Lol. Trust me if its going to be one of your PG symptoms, then it just is. The only thing you can do to help alleviate it is too get more fiber into your diet. Fruits and veggies high in fiber. Soy milk helped regulate me which helped ease some of the gas. Sorry to be gross, but as soon as I had a really good Bowel Movement the gas would stop for a little while. Usually gas is caused by constipation, so staying away from veggies is NOT a good idea and may only stop you up worse. To the point of having to take medication to make you poop. And as all of us pg women know, we hate to take any medications for fear we are hurting our fetus in the long run. I was just a fartin', burpin' machine during my first trimester. I pretty much just avoided everyone, because it was just way to uncomfortable to hold in and I didn't want to kill them either...lol.

Regarding your lower back pain, I suggest you see a chiropractor. it may have nothing to do with your being pregnant, but if your back hurts now, it will only get worse has time progresses. Also, back exercises are good anytime. Ask any personal trainer or PT or doctor on what exercises would be good. There are many that you can do throughout your pregnancy.
Gas - avoid beans for sure. Keep a record of what foods you ate within 12 hours of having the gas. Once you see a pattern, don't eat those foods. During preganancy, many things that normally won't upset the stomach will.

Being pregnant will bring all sorts of different pains, your body will need to adjust and it will so dont worry.
Many different foods will cause gas, some stinkier than others but a pregnant women will be excused most of the time unless they are extremely offensive (which they are not usually). It is your system that causes the gas not necessarily the food eaten.
Good luck with the baby.

Avoid veggies they cause gas and for the pressure in your back have someone rub a tennis ball on it. that should help with that. if you are thin that's why you get the pressure in your back. Good Luck!!!
