Try reading the book, "The Five Love Languages." This is a great book that goes through the differences in how men and woman show love to their spouse. For example, you may be trying to talk to him, but if you're not spending quality time with him then he may be feeling unloved. Anyway, it's worth reading!!

A emotional connection is the foundation of a relationship. When you two first started dating, did you really date for example( go out to the movies, and like have fun together and build a strong bond )
Right now your foundation is very weak and unstable, due to lack of a bond. To truly have a emotional connection with anyone you have to be best friends, and know each other physically and emotionally, and the way you do this is you have to do thing together that will create memories that the two of you will share forever. as appose to just making memories in the bedroom. It is not to late to create a stable foundation in your relationship. Tonight you should take the lead and ask him to go out and have dinner at a nice restaurant. And ask him questions like what does he dream about, I am sure his out look on life has changed alot since you first meet him. Good luck=)

I'd strongly recommend the book His Needs, Her Needs by Willard Harley. I'd also contact the Family Dynamics Institute and get information on their Dynamic Marriage classes.
My husband is very much the cool type, too, and attending the Dynamic Marriage class really taught us both a lot. It was well worth the investment.
We're a lot more connected now than we've ever been in the ten years we've been married, so we're living proof that it can be turned around.
Good luck!

Think back to the times when you were both dating. I'm sure there was an amount of electricity running through your body then... a connection a pounding heart. What was it then that made you feel that way? Can you turn back the clock and relive that time again. There must be something that made your husband (then b/f) love you for who you are.

Hmmmm....well, it sounds like he isn't much of a talker. How about holding his hand or doing something nice for him instead. Then have him return the favor.
