These guys are probably right. I really doubt that the phone has anythign to do withthe car issue. It is most likely something you have drawn the line between.

Now we killed off Olds a while back and generally you are doing good to get five years out of a battery. Depending on what has happened tot hat battery as far as charging and running down as well as heat and cold extremes that it has been exposed to that life could be much shorter.

The battery would be my first check. But you might want to have a charging system test done as well.

I am guessing you mean the car won't keep a charge as in start.

Plugging in a cell phone or anything into a cig lighter will not drain a battery unless left for like 19 days or so.

Sounds like your battery needs replaced or your alternator has died.

If you are talking about cell phone battery.....could be dead battery, could be bad charge cord, could be flown fuse on cig lighter, could be not getting good contact when pluggin in either end, could be bent pin on plug end, etc.

I would start with a new battery. Cell phone chargers don't draw much power. Certainly not enough to kill a battery.

If the battery is over 5 years old that is your best bet for trouble. If not that than you likely have a short circuit.
